ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
What do outrageous success and hopeless failure have in common? Presidential candidates and street people? Millionaires and destitutes? The thrilling victors and the agonies in their defeats? They have all been interviewed by Michael Peak.

During his Emmy Award winning career as a television journalist, Michael Peak has experienced over fifty thousand different points of view. And not tucked away in some studio. Peak has spent his entire career in the field, on the streets, experiencing all aspects of life in the world’s most prosperous nation, interviewing the winners and losers.

He began his career at the age of 19, carrying around a 40 pound video tape recorder for $3.00 an hour at the CBS station in San Diego. He worked for several TV stations over the next 20 years, interviewing tens of thousands of people, and becoming an acclaimed producer of quality and conscious television.

Michael founded Peak Motion Pictures in San Diego to help fill a need he witnessed while working in the commercial end of television. He saw that many companies needed high quality video to promote their businesses, but couldn't find a TV station or production company that would take care of their needs.

In addition to his career as a journalist, Michael Peak has made contributions as a personal and professional coach, specializing in NLP and hypnosis. He is an accomplished Seminar leader, speaker and novelist.
Peak’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. He has often been catapulted into the spotlight. Michael has made several television appearances, including national shows such as Entertainment Tonight, Vicki, Leeza, and A Closer Look with Faith Daniels.

Born and raised in San Diego, Michael spends a lot of his off hours out doors and keeping fit. During the summer months, he takes a yoga class on the beach at sunset (how Southern California is that?), and roller blades regularly. He currently lives in Encinitas with two large, furry felines.
